According to modern beliefs, the evolvement of generalized parodontitis is associated with an appearance of specific sub gingival bacterial flora. They are anaerobic organisms which propagate without oxygen and recover toxins supporting longstanding inflammation and destruction of gum and alveolar bone tissues and represent the basis for starting of destruction of periodontal membrane tissues or implant-gum connection in case of dental implantation.
We must detect periodontal pathogenic flora in cavity by means of bacteriological test for anaerobic organisms.
The presence of aggressive bacterial flora denotes an increased risk of progressive-type destruction of periodontal tissues which tends to loss of attachment of gums and bone tissues, and, eventually, to loosening and falling out of teeth. In such cases, additional treatment of periodontitis with antibiotics is necessary, which is effective only after detailed diagnosis.. The selection of preparation and type of its administration depends on a type of periodontal pathological bacteria.
In aesthetic dental clinic “PRIZMA” together with a leading laboratory in Kiev the availability of aggressive anaerobic flora is detected by means of sampling material of periodontal pocket for detecting of anaerobic bacteria presence and their sensitivity against antimicrobial drugs.
After receiving the results of bacteria sensitivity to antibiotic drugs, we intentionally prescribe treatment affecting a specific type of bacteria both locally (rinsing substances, gels, medicamental film of antibiotic drugs) and in a consistent manner (oral administration). Very often the combined treatment is used by either local mechanical and medicamental, or systematic approaches.
