  2. Molding (with porcelain buildup).
  3. Computer modelling (CAD/CAM). The structure material is zirconium. The sizes are calculated by means of computer, and the prosthesis is manufactured by means of a computer-controlled machine.

Prosthodontics technique

Prior to start ceramic dental prosthetics procedure, diagnostics and full treatment of the tooth intended for installation of a crown are performed (i.e. removal of low-quality filling). It is followed by several steps:

  1. Preparation of the necessary tooth thickness for crown.
  2. Taking impression of the both jaws.
  3. Manufacture of temporary plastic crowns and temporary fixation of such crowns with cement.
  4. Determining the permanent prosthesis by color selection.
  5. Manufacture of permanent crowns in the laboratory.
  6. Try-in, elimination of possible problems (size, color, form).
  7. Installation of the ready prosthesis with permanent cement fixation.

Crown care rules

Care of such prostheses is not more difficult than that of natural teeth. Actually, the rules are the same, they are known to everybody taking care of his/her health:

  • Daily oral cavity hygiene. Duly clean the teeth with toothbrush and paste. However, high-abrasive toothpaste is not recommended for cleaning crowns which do not contain metal.
  • Through cleaning of the food remnants. Special care should be taken of the spaces between the teeth and the place of tooth and gum contact (rinsing, dental floss).
  • Special care of the crowns. It is not recommended to chump hard objects for example, nuts of seeds.
