The presence of periodontal pockets is an irreversible process that progresses very quickly. Our task is to suspend and stabilize it. Only in close cooperation with periodontist we can achieve the result. Therefore, patient should be motivated to observe all items of these diseases treatment.
Treatment of periodontitis
What shall we do if periodontal disease is still present? A number of medical manipulations can be carried out for this purpose, comprising:
- laboratory study of pathological pocket contents;
- carrying out preventive oral hygiene;
- vector-therapy of paradontium;
- plazmolifting of gums;
- medication.
When the process is far from being at an early stage, resort to surgical methods of periodontitis treatment. A number of procedures can be selected individually for each patient depending on the diagnosis. Periodontal patients are under the dispensary observation at the periodontist, and every 3-6 months they shall provide treatment.
