HOW THE LASER TATTOO REMOVAL PROCEDURE IS CARRIED OUT
The removal of tattoos and permanent make-up at our Centre is performed using the M22 multi-module platform with the Q-Switched Nd: YAG 1064 nm laser. This technique guarantees the removal of dark pigment and whitening of the skin.
During the consultation, the dermatologist will assess the extent of the treatment and the condition of the skin, no other preparatory procedure is required.
One session to remove permanent tattoo and permanent make-up takes 15-30 minutes. The doctor treats the selected area with a laser for a few seconds. The pulsed light affects only the pigment, without damaging neighboring tissue. The pigment is destroyed and eliminated on its own within 7-14 days. The dermatologist sets the parameters of the device, focusing on the individual characteristics - the depth of occurrence of pigment, its shade and density, the area of location, etc.
During the treatment the patient feels a slight tingling sensation and warmth. There is practically no discomfort or pain - this is one of the main advantages of the method.
WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW?
HOW MANY PROCEDURES DO YOU NEED
It all depends on the size of the tattoo or permanent make-up. Generally, 3-6 procedures are needed for complete discoloration of a large tattoo; 2-3 treatments are needed to remove permanent make-up and small tattoos. Sessions are carried out at intervals of 4-6 weeks.
AFTER THE PROCEDURE
There is no rehabilitation period – during the first day the redness and mild swelling will disappear. For the next 3 weeks, do not go to the sauna, solarium or sunbathing. Don’t forget to wear a sunscreen with SPF when outdoors. Your cosmetologist will tell you more about your recovery.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Laser tattoo removal should not be performed if you have:
- thyroid disease;
- atopic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis;
- damage to the skin at the place of treatment;
- pregnancy and breastfeeding;
- fresh tanning;
- thrombophlebitis;
- inflammatory processes in the body;
- presence of a pacemaker;
- keloid scars;
- cardiovascular diseases;
- oncological diseases;
- epilepsy;
- mental disorders.
