Аурикулярная акупунктура

Auricular acupuncture, also known as auriculotherapy, is a method in which special miniature needles are inserted into the ear for a specific period to enhance and prolong the therapeutic effects.

History of Auricular Acupuncture:

Ear puncture has its roots in traditional Chinese medicine. Similar to acupuncture, which targets specific points on the body to treat various conditions, auriculotherapy relies on identifying corresponding points on the ear.

In the 1950s, French physician Paul Nogier from Lyon expanded the original Chinese system, giving it broader applications. In 1987, auriculotherapy was officially recognized by the World Health Organization. Dr. Nogier’s research confirmed that the ear serves as a micro-map of the entire body, with each part corresponding to specific points. More than 300 such points on the ear can be used to treat various organ and systemic conditions.

How Does the Technique Work?

Approximately 200 bioactive points are located on the inner surface of the ear auricles. Each of these points is linked to a specific internal organ or functional system. Stimulating these points with a specialized needle by an acupuncturist can improve the function of the nervous system.

Using a special needle, a reflexologist can achieve harmonization and stabilization of the necessary organs in an individual. Auriculotherapy is applied as an independent treatment method and successfully complements other therapies such as acupressure and cosmetology.

Positive results are observed in the treatment of various issues such as:

  • Excess weight,
  • Nicotine dependence,
  • Alcoholism,
  • Acute pain of various types,
  • Broncho-asthmatic syndromes, metabolic disorders,
  • Depression,
  • Psychoemotional disorders and stress,
  • Abstinence syndrome,
  • Drug addiction,
  • Blood pressure,
  • Chronic bronchitis.

Auriculotherapy Procedure:

It begins with a consultation and diagnostic examination.
Based on this information, the doctor determines an individual treatment course.
The duration of a session is usually about 20 minutes, and sessions are conducted daily or every other day. During the procedure, the patient may feel a sensation of warmth or cold, indicating the point’s activation and the effectiveness of the treatment.

The technique of auricular acupuncture, effectively targeting biologically active zones, is based on stimulating approximately 150 acupuncture points. Using a medical needle, the specialist influences these points, restoring the body’s energy balance and regulating various systems, such as the autonomic, cardiac, central, vascular, peripheral, and neuroendocrine systems.

Indications for auriculotherapy include chronic pain, smoking or alcohol dependence, weight problems, functional disorders, and other diseases of internal organs. The technique is considered safe and effective, especially when performed by an experienced specialist.

Among the contraindications to auricular acupuncture are bronchial asthma, otitis, and inflammatory processes in the ear auricle, myocardial infarction, and acute mental disorders.

No special preparation is required for the procedure. The effectiveness of the technique is determined by the high professionalism of the doctors, who thoroughly study each patient’s problem before starting therapy. Safe materials, properly selected needle sizes, and compatibility with primary treatment ensure positive results, delighting our patients.

Thus, with the use of prolonged auricular acupuncture, the following results can be achieved:

  • Alleviate chronic pain.
  • Reduce stress levels and anxiety.
  • Restore the function of the digestive, reproductive, urinary, and hormonal systems.
  • Lose excess weight.
  • Restore energy balance in organs and systems.
  • Naturally quit smoking, alcohol, and drugs.

Auriculotherapy is also effective in treating functional disorders and allergic diseases such as dizziness, hypertension, arrhythmia, depression, urticaria, asthma, rhinitis, as well as endocrine and metabolic disorders, including hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, diabetes, obesity, and menopausal symptoms.
