Acne phototherapy is an innovative treatment method aimed at eliminating pimples and acne using special equipment. This process has many advantages and positive reviews, and is also available to a wide range of people due to its relatively low cost. Phototherapy for acne is effective for treating acne on various areas of the body, including the face, as well as other areas such as the hands. The cost of the procedure depends on the area of the problem.
Description of the procedure
- The problem of acne is widely known to most people, regardless of gender. Traditionally it is believed that pimples and acne most often appear during puberty due to hormonal changes. Although this is the most common cause, after this period is over, most cases of acne go away on their own.
- Another reason may be poor nutrition and a general metabolic disorder, which leads to the active proliferation of certain bacteria in the layers of the skin. Therefore, pimples are affected areas of the skin with colonies of bacteria. The consequences can be special marks known as post-acne, due to significant tissue damage in the areas of acne.
- As far as acne is concerned, it is a common blockage of pores, mainly associated with increased oil content in the skin and excessive activity of the sebaceous glands. However, in all cases, phototherapy is an effective and affordable treatment method.
Indications for acne phototherapy include:
- Presence of acne and associated changes (post-acne)
- Acne
- Acne that cannot be treated with other methods.
Contraindications include:
- Acute and chronic infectious diseases,

It is important to note that phototherapy does not violate the integrity of the skin, which, together with its affordable price, makes this method widely popular.
